Carl Clinton is serving time at the Suffolk County House of Corrections at South Bay in Boston. But he is not just biding his time. Clinton is part of a special unit for young adults ages 18 to 25 that opened earlier this year and provides intensive programming to help the men turn their lives around.
“I received a number of coping mechanisms, opportunities for schooling and college credit,” Clinton said. “I received a brotherhood with my fellow participants in this program. We developed mutual respect for each other. Above that, we develop respect for ourselves.”
